Inner Child Toolbox
Inner Child Toolbox is a structured, six-session coaching container.
This is for you if:
- you’re feeling stuck, especially if you’ve been on a healing/therapy journey for a while
- you have reactions that don’t make sense or feel disproportionate to what has happenedyou feel like your feelings are too big or too strong
- you want to try inner child work before making an investment in an IFS therapist
Through six focused 1-hour meetings, we will:
- map out your core wounds and how they connect to your inner child,
- learn some metaphors for understanding inner child work
- practice strategies for communicating with, negotiating with, and soothing your inner child
- create a plan for how to continue your work on your own
I will be available for text or voice memo coaching Mondays-Thursdays to help you navigate inner child triggers in the moment.
From Inner Child Toolbox you’ll get:
- a better understanding of your internal life and why you react to things the way you do
- a tool kit of strategies and practices that will help you navigate triggering situations with compassion, calm, and clarity
- a plan for continuing this work so that you can feel confident in your continued growth
Inner Child Toolbox is available to anyone, anywhere in the world. Coaching meetings will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8:45am and 5:10pm Eastern Time. Between appointments, you’ll have homework and resources to support your reflection and practice. You should expect to spend at least 30 minutes on inner work during non-meeting weeks.

Work with me feels warm, compassionate, accepting, non-judgmental, gently challenging, educational, and healing.
Folks who I work with have successfully shifted their unhealthy patterns using inner child work. As a result, they feel more clear, calm, and connected to themself and others.
We'll meet every two to four weeks, depending on our schedules. You'll get a personal link to book time on my calendar.
During coaching, I:
- value and prioritize developing a safer and non-judgmental healing relationship with you so we can get to the roots of your pain
- share a lot of information and sometimes insight or analysis about what you're going through so you can better understand yourself
- teach metaphors, strategies, and skills that will help you feel more in-control of your inner life
- help you move through stuckness by identifying root causes of your pain and patterns
I work best with folks who:
- are ready to bravely explore their inner life
- are open to healing exercises and experiences
- are ready to go deep in your healing
Inner Child Toolbox is not for:
- folks who aren't interested in introspection or inner child work
- folks who are currently experiencing active suicidal ideation
- folks with dissociative identity disorder
My work is informed by:
- attachment research
- IFS (Internal Family Systems)
- feminism and anti-oppression
- compassion, curiosity, and kindness
I offer:
- non-judgmental healing space
- consistent belief in your ability to grow
- strategies and information to help make sense of what's going on
- observation of where societal messages might be showing up
- ideas and resources to support yourself or find support
- advice if you want it
Why Coaching?
Coaching allows us to take a very deep, specific, targeted dive into building a new self-knowledge and skills. There is a plan for each meeting that allows your nervous system to relax and show up more fully to your work.
With coaching, you don't have to worry about diagnoses staying on your medical record or dealing with insurance dictating your fee or aspects of your care.
Coaching can be scheduled at your pace, allowing you plenty of time to practice skills and reflect between meetings.
What to Expect:
Before your first meeting:
I will send you an initial assessment to help you reflect and to guide our work.
During our first meeting:
We'll begin learning core inner child work skills: curiosity, compassion and kindness with targeted exercises. We'll discuss a few metaphors to establish some shared language and understanding for our work together.
Homework: begin mapping your inner child with a recorded visualization exercise
During our second meeting:
We will continue to develop your inner child map, figuring out the parts (inner children) you have inside and how they're connected to your core wounds. We'll differentiate your most tender, vulnerable (usually youngest) parts from your older, more intellectual (usually older) parts and figure out how each contributes to protecting you from pain.
Homework: Getting to know your parts a bit better with a recorded meditation exercise
During our third, fourth, fifth meetings:
We'll practice communicating with, negotiating with, and soothing your inner children/parts. We'll get to work deeply and extensively with a few key parts or work a little less intensively with more parts, and we'll decide this based on your goals and needs.
Homework: Practice skills we learned during meetings
During our sixth meeting:
We'll create a plan together to set you up for success, based on how your work has unfolded and skills you still need to build. You'll leave feeling confident in your next steps for continued healing and growth.
If you're not ready to end our work together after six meetings, you can book additional 1 hour meetings for $250/meeting.
